Sean Bagshaw works hard to create his art whether he's hiking miles in the dark to arrive at a remote section of the Rogue River at dawn, camping out in the cold high on Mt. Shasta, avoiding flash floods in the Arizona desert or trekking to remote parts of the Himalaya. Sean is Southern Oregon's premier landscape, nature and travel photographer. While he travels all over the western US and the world in pursuit of dramatic light and scenery, many of his most memorable images are made close to his home in the Siskiyou Mountains in Southern Oregon. "As a photographer I love the adventure of traveling to new places and the process of exploring and composing images in my mind," says Sean. "However, there are also many amazing locations to photograph around my local region. In Southern Oregon alone we have the historic towns of Ashland, Jacksonville and Medford. Natural locations such as the Rogue River, Crater Lake, the Table Rocks, the Oregon coast and Mt. McLaughlin are all one of a kind. My goal as a photographer is to pull together unique landscape elements, amazing light and intriguing patterns of color, shape and texture to create strongly graphic compositions. The Rogue Valley and Southern Oregon offers as rich a photography experience as anywhere I have traveled." Sean's photography is permanently featured at Ashland Artisan Gallery on Main Street in Ashland, Oregon and often appears in shows along the west coast from Seattle to Los Angeles. Sean regularly works with interior designers and decorators to install his images in commercial collections, offices, universities, medical facilities and fine homes around the country. Sean's photos also win awards, are published in magazines and used in web site design. He takes pride in working with clients to find just the right image and can also be hired on assignment. "Many out of state photography locations I go to are heavily visited by talented outdoor photographers," Sean says, "but Southern Oregon is relatively unknown. As a result many of my images are fresh and unique in the world of outdoor photography" To contact Sean for any of your own commercial or private photographic needs, please call 541-840-9237 or 541-482-6055 or contact Sean using his Web Mail form. |
