Wet Dryland Print Alvord Desert, Oregon

Wet Dryland Print Alvord Desert, Oregon
In eastern Oregon spring snow melt from Steens Mountain finds its way down to the parched Alvord Desert thousands of feet below. In the spring the runoff can partially fill the alkali flat with a couple inch layer of water. Dramatic clouds and the setting sun reflected in the wet mud surface create an amazing setting.
