Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah. Light reflecting off the canyon walls illuminates the shaded side of the rock formations, called hoodoos, causing the red stone to positively glow. It is an incredible sight and one that only lasts for a few minutes each day at sunrise and sunset when the rays of the sun are at a very low angle. The pastel and jewel-tone spires create a breathtaking illusion of ethereal castles.
