On my second visit to Kathmandu, Nepal in 2006 I captured this image of a Sadhu, a Hindu holy man. Sadhus frequent Pashupatinath, the most sacred temple of Shiva in the world. The ochre robe symbolizes renunciation as the Sadhus live on the edge or apart from society to focus on their own spiritual practices.
