The Coquille River Lighthouse in Bandon, Oregon is one of the most photographed buildings in the state. I especially like this view framed by an ancient, gnarly and windswept tree. The glow of sunset and light from the beacon help create a calm and tranquil scene. Commissioned in 1896 the lighthouse was designed to guide mariners around the dangerous bar at the mouth of the river.
