This palace of ancient kings is perched high on a mesa in western Tibet and guarded on all sides by sheer cliffs. It could only be reached through a secret tunnel though the rock. Tsaparang was heavily damaged during the cultural revolution in Tibet but has been partially rebuilt in recent times.
