I use a EOS 5D and have been thinking of upgrading to the new Mark II 5D but it's a little expensive and thought about waiting for one more new model to come out. I know what you mean about the ISO on the original 5D and although it was great when it first hit the market the newer models have long passed it up. I really do look forward to using a newer model with the ability to use a higher ISO then 100 and not have to worry about noise as much.

Good article and examples!

Hey Troy, I'd love to see your doors and windows of Cuba so absolutely send me a note when they are up. Your old car photos are wonderful. I particularly like the extreme perspective, narrow depth of field images in which you showcase a feature while the rest of the car fades into the background. I don't know much about Cuba, but everything I have heard makes me want to visit. Your images certainly add to that.

Nice set of photos! I been working on making a photo essay of the windows and doors I seen while in Cuba. If you loved Mexico, you'd love Cuba thats for sure. I'll have to make a mental note and email ya when I finally make the post.

You can check out a few photos I took of Cuba here and would love your feedback on them: http://www.foggodyssey.com/2009/12/05/cuban-cars-from-the-50s-part-1/

Beautiful. The play of light and color is as fascinating as the craftsmanship that is so evident in each photo.
