During a fall photo trip in 2005 I traveled through the amazing Palouse area of Washington. It is a major wheat-producing agricultural area about 160 miles north of the Oregon Trail. It’s rolling hills, spectacular vistas and dramatic post-harvest field patterns create textures and light that are irresistible to photographers.
