One of the many beautiful views of Ashland Creek in Ashland, Oregon’s Lithia Park. In the spring rhododendrons, azaleas and a variety of bulbs bloom among the hundreds of species of trees and shrubs. The creek flows year around and passes through beautiful forested areas and along winding paths in the park. The park was designed by John McLaren, landscape architect of San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park. Lithia Park is one of the main attractions in the popular town which is also home to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and Southern Oregon State University.
