This backpacker, making a summer cross country hike below the imposing east face of North Sister Mountain in the Central Oregon Cascade Range, encounters some snowy vistas. North Sister is one of three volcanic peaks which make up the Three Sisters. Each of the Sisters is over 10,000 feet high.
