Can’t Sleep Stock Image, Yosemite, California

I took this image at Cathedral Peak, Yosemite National Park, in the Tuolumne back country in 2004. It is the result of a long night exposure with light from a full moon illuminating the craggy mountain and the climber’s headlamp lighting the tent. The deep blue tent appears to be a piece of the starry sky fallen onto the land. The rocky campsite was, no doubt, contributing to the wakeful camper’s vigil.
