The Coquille River Lighthouse in Bandon, Oregon is one of the most photographed buildings in the state. Commissioned in 1896 the lighthouse was designed to guide mariners around the dangerous bar at the mouth of the river. In this image, the simple and elegant architecture of the building is washed in the pale pinks and lavenders of a coastal sunset.
