Antelope Canyon, Arizona, is the most -visited and most- photographed slot canyon in the American Southwest. It is located on Navajo land near Page, Arizona and is created by the erosion of sandstone due to flash flooding. Sunlight radiates from openings on top of the canyon which creates vivid patterns of light, color and shadow most evident in March through October when the sun is highest. In this image, reflected blue light from the sky combined with a cool white balance setting create the deep blue features deep within this red rock canyon.
