Peeling The Moon Stock Image, Grand Staircase-Escalante, Utah

Cracked and peeling mud in the Utah desert, pitted by rain and glowing with light reflected off the bank of the dry riverbed. This scene was too harsh in full direct sunlight, so I shaded the area with my jacket allowing the indirect light from the riverbank and sky to show through.
