The Watchman and the Virgin River Stock Image Zion National Park, Utah

Watchman Peak stands guard at the entrance of Zion National Park in Utah. It rises 2600 feet higher that the Virgin River which helped carve it and continues to run past its base. Streams in this desert are one of Zion’s outstanding features, a life force in this otherwise harsh environment.
