Producing Better Prints

Presented by Sean Bagshaw and Zack Schnepf

Printing can be challenging, confusing, and intimidating and good printing information can be hard to find. In this course, with simple language and clear examples, we share the most important elements of printing without getting bogged down in overly technical details.

This course is for anyone who would like to learn techniques for producing better prints. Zack and Sean have 30 years of combined printing experience. Our goal is to show what is essential in our printing in both Lightroom and Photoshop, and help photographers make prints that match their vision more consistently. The printing techniques are the ones we use ourselves. We have worked hard to break down the steps, give clear examples and cover the most important aspects of printing.

We have partnered with HD Aluminum Prints so anyone who purchases the course can get a 20% discount on an aluminum print order! The value of this could add up to more than the cost of the course itself.

I wish I had this tutorial five years ago when I started printing…and I am also so happy to be able to watch it now. As somebody who had to navigate printing by myself, watching this tutorial felt like cheating! you get all the goodies, tips and tricks in one place.

I plan on going through this series again and again, especially the soft proofing portion as that was worth the price of admission! The part on relative vs perceptual rendering intent also filled in some blanks for me.

This course is great. Exactly what I was looking for. Time to get some prints on my walls!
- Terrance Williams  @terrance.j.williams

I recently purchased your Producing Better Prints videos and really glad that I did as it cleared up a lot of things for me and it will be a great resource going forward.

- Peter Allum

The segments on rendering intent, printing test strips and how to properly use soft proofing techniques are  worth every dollar spent.  As well, I appreciated your discussions on how to effectively integrate 3rd party applications (Topaz) into the printing workflow.

- Keith Pinn

I have just printed my first print after completing your "Producing Better Prints" course. The result was extremely satisfying. It has given me a solid workflow to apply to all prints and I no longer feel as though I am blundering about in a darkroom with the lights off.
