HDR photography is basically any technique for creating an image that contains a higher dynamic range than can normally be captured in a single frame in a camera (either film or digital). There are actually many ways to extend the dynamic range of a photograph.

Right as the moon was rising over Mt. Ashland the light from the setting sun illuminated the sky to our east. By taking three images and stitching them together I was able to create a panorama showing Mt. McLoughlin, Pelican Butte, Brown Mountain and Mt. Ashland.
