Cows in the Mist Stock Image, Howard Prairie, Oregon

Near Howard Prairie in Southern Oregon I spied this group of cows in a meadow near the road. The early morning mist hovers around them as they pose for the camera, curious about my presence. The white cow in the foreground is illuminated by the early light and appears ghostlike amidst the darker herd. This particular pasture in the Cascade Mountains often sports a layer of mist right at sunrise in the summer.
